Even Jesse Jackson Should Get Some...
Call it common courtesy, respect, human decency... whatever, Even Jesse Jackson should have the right to say what he feels. I mean c'mon, what jerk submitted this clip? Remember the good old days when you could say what you thought, and if people didn't agree, they had the right to not listen? Now you can't even speak without it being recorded and submitted to the media, blown all out of proportion and issuing a public apology. I think it's pathetic. I'm disappointed in Jesse for giving in so quickly and apologizing for something that he obviously feels. His apology is not sincere; he's not sorry for what he said (and he shouldn't be), he's sorry that it got heard and a bunch of people jumped all over it. HE HAD AN OPINION and whispered it to his colleague! The fact that he was unknowingly being recorded is not his fault! Let's get something straight... I'm no fan of JJ ("the Reverend Jesse Jackass" as Mancow calls him) but I think he has been violated in this instance. This may seem like a paradox, but I can see the forest despite the trees! We are LOSING our freedoms, right in front of our eyes and we are letting it happen. This is not about Jesse Jackson or Barrack Obama. I don't like Jackson, he's a rabble rouser and instigator, but I think he was in the right in this instance. I do like Barrack Obama as a person, but I would never vote for lead this country (down the path to socialism). I have had issues with this in other cases, but I've decided I've had enough. A man can be crucified this easily in the press? Everybody has to apologize for everything said, just because somebody else doesn't like it? Since when does the minority rule the majority? C'mon people, are we this mean and spiteful? Are we?
